Studio Flint is an outcome of my obsession with woodworking and the creation of unique and interesting items using this medium.

It all started with a series of Weekend courses at the School of Wood in Dwellingup. By attending several weekend courses I learned the basics of the craft finally committing to the “Course in Fine Wood Design and Construction”.

I have a keen interest in box making there is something about boxes that make people want to touch and pick them up, this is further enhanced by using natural finishes which allows the feel of the wood to come through.

I built a workshop and started to build my knowledge and skills by producing furniture for family and friends.

In late 2011 my wife and I moved to Cairns where I have continued the craft and established Studio Flint.
